Alpaca Fiber Wear

—  Alpaca fiber  —

Alpaca fleece is the natural fiber harvested from an alpaca. It is a soft, luxurious and silky natural fiber. Many think Alpaca is similar to sheep's wool, but to the contrary, it is three times warmer, is soft enough to ware against the skin and has no lanolin which makes it hypoallergenic.

Aside from having all these wonderful advantages to other fiber wear products or fabrics, it is also water resistant, has the highest warmth rating of all fibers in today market place as well as being rated the strongest mammal fiber in the world. The Inca Indians weaved and braided the Alpaca fibers to span bridges across canons in the Andes Mountains!
